The air temperature sensor is usually installed in the air flow meter or the air inlet or air flow meter between the air cleaner and the throttle body, while the water temperature sensor is arranged at an appropriate position on the engine cooling water channel, cylinder head or engine block. There are many types of sensors that can be used to measure the temperature, such as wound resistance, diffused resistance, semiconductor transistor, metal core, thermocouple and semiconductor thermistor. At present, the thermistor temperature sensor is the most widely used in the measurement of intake air temperature and cooling water temperature.
